The Mike Modano Arena is closed for the summer. We will reopen September 7, 2010.When we reopen you will see many upgrades at the arena. New compressors are being installed converting to an amonia system. A dehumidifcation system will be added as well as a new HVAC system for the lobby area. These upgrades were all possible due to the recent Energy Grant that the City of Westland was awarded.
New scoreboards were recently installed thanks to the generous sponsorship of Meijer and SPARK.

IS IT A ZAMBONI OR A FORD FLEX?
Thanks to North Brothers Ford the Zamboni has a new look! In between games at the Modano Arena you'll see the Zamboni, or is it a Ford Flex resurfacing the ice? Using a lot of creativity and clever graphics, North Brothers Ford transformed the Zamboni into a very convincing replica of a Ford Flex. Come and check out this one of a kind Zamboni.
